Before-and-after photographs need context. The care involved, the time between images and the individual’s circumstances all matter when considering what a photograph can tell you.
Look beyond the comparison
Ask when each photograph was taken and what care occurred between the images. A visual comparison alone does not explain preparation, recovery, follow-up or the person’s full experience.
